"Shape of My Heart" – Sting / ピアノ弾き語り

映画『レオン』の主題歌で、スティングが歌っていた『Shape of My Heart』。

映画も素晴らしかったけれど、ラストを飾るこの曲が、胸にじ～んときて、ずっと歌ってみたいと思っていました。

でも、スティングは男性だから曲のキーがとても低く、女性が歌うと、メリハリが出ないし、ただモゴモゴとしか歌えない。しかもこの曲はアコースティックギターがメインで、私はギターが弾けないし、やっぱりピアノだけでは無理かな･･･と思っていました。

･･･ですが、どうしても歌ってみたくて、モゴモゴを避けるため、キーをかなり上げて、ピアノ弾き語りにチャレンジしてみました。原曲とは、随分、雰囲気は変わってしまいましたが、私の『Shape of My Heart』を気にいっていただけたら嬉しいです。

"Shape of My Heart," sung by Sting, is the theme song of the movie "Léon."

The movie was amazing, but the ending song was also incredible, so I really wanted to sing it.

However, since Sting is a male singer, the original key is quite low, making it difficult for a woman to capture the same atmosphere. Also, the song is mainly accompanied by acoustic guitar, which I don’t play, so I thought it would be impossible to perform it using only the piano.

Still, I really wanted to sing it, so I raised the key significantly to make it easier for a female voice and arranged it with piano accompaniment. The atmosphere is quite different from the original, but I hope you enjoy my version of "Shape of My Heart."
